How to choose

If you want a reliable everyday cup, start with black tea: forgiving, takes milk without complaint, hard to ruin.

If you want tea that tastes like something, look at the flavour blends — baked apple, cherry chocolate, smoked orange, burnt caramel. Dessert flavours built from real botanicals rather than sugar, and the fastest way to convert someone who thinks they dislike tea.

If you are avoiding caffeine, rooibos and herbal blends carry real flavour with none of the lift. Our caffeine-free collection is the place to start.

If you are not sure yet, many blends here come as a four-cup sample. Four proper cups is enough to know.

Questions

How much caffeine is in tea? Roughly 40–70 mg per 8 oz cup of black tea — about half a cup of coffee, arriving more gently. Green and white tea sit lower; rooibos and herbal blends have none.

What water temperature? Black and herbal: 205–212°F for 3–5 minutes. Green and white: cooler, around 175–185°F, for 2–3 minutes. Bitterness usually means too long, not too much leaf.
